Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create or use an account, including your account details, parent and child profile details, routines, conversations, medication entries, health-journal entries, and settings such as reminders.

If you subscribe, payment processing is handled by Stripe. PareNova does not store your full card number or card security code.

How we use information

  • Provide, personalise, secure, and improve PareNova’s features.
  • Generate the AI coaching, routine suggestions, and pattern summaries you request.
  • Manage your account, subscription, reminders, and support requests.
  • Detect misuse, prevent fraud, and protect the service and its users.

AI processing

When you ask PareNova’s AI tools for help, the relevant prompt and context you choose to provide may be processed by AI service providers to generate a response. AI outputs are generated automatically and can be incomplete or incorrect.

Please avoid entering information that is not needed for the feature, such as precise addresses, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information. Review the Medical & AI Safety notice before relying on any AI response.

When we share information

We share information only when needed to operate PareNova—for example, with providers that help us deliver authentication, payment processing, hosting, and AI features—or when required to protect users, comply with law, or respond to a valid legal request.

We do not sell your personal information or your child’s information.

Your choices and control

You can review and update your account and family information in PareNova. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or a copy of your personal information.

To make a privacy request, use the prepared privacy request email. Tell us which right you are exercising and use the email address associated with your account. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity. Do not include health or child information in the first email.

If you want to delete your account or your family data, request deletion through the same channel. We will explain any information we must retain to meet legal, fraud-prevention, payment, or dispute-resolution obligations.

Keep your account credentials private and use a unique password. If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, change your password and contact support promptly.

Cookies and similar technologies

PareNova uses essential authentication and security cookies from Clerk to keep you signed in and protect your account. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies on the public website.

If you choose a display theme, PareNova stores that preference locally in your browser so the choice can be remembered. We do not use this local storage to track you across sites.

If we introduce optional cookies or similar technologies, we will update this policy and provide the consent or preference controls required where those technologies are used.

Regional privacy rights

PareNova is offered worldwide. Your rights and our obligations depend on where you live and may include rights under New Zealand privacy law and, where applicable, other regional privacy laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws.

The privacy request email above is the single contact point to exercise applicable access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability rights. We will respond according to the timelines and requirements that apply to your request.

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children’s information

PareNova is intended for parents and caregivers, not for children to create their own accounts. We do not knowingly offer accounts directly to children. Before account creation, we ask the account holder to confirm that they are a parent or caregiver and agree to the current Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. We retain the accepted policy version and acceptance time for this purpose.

If you enter information about a child, you are responsible for ensuring you have the authority to do so and for sharing only what is necessary to use the service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when PareNova changes or when legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date.
